Barn - North Thompson Log Barn

When I saw this  historic log barn
set picturesquely along the
North Thompson River,...
(on the Yellowhead highway)

...I asked my dear husband
to scoot to the side of the road
so I could shoot a couple of photos.
You can see how the river has
eroded the banks over the years
but the barn is safe for now...

  2. What stories that barn could tell if only we knew how to read them.

  5. Oh I LOVE this I can imagine in its day how beautiful it was and how incredible life was to wake up and go out to see the river every morn. Hard work with a perfect setting. Great shots. B

  8. A picturesque side indeed. Can you imagine homesteading there back in the day? A bit of heaven on earth right next to that beautiful river.

  13. It's too bad this historic barn is falling down. I did notice the erosion of the riverbank. I wonder how far the barn was from it originally? It's a very beautiful spot.
